ZOA Student Leadership Mission to Israel

Hillel and Baruch and ZOA continue to strengthen a long standing relationship with the 2017-8 ZOA Student Leadership Mission to Israel. The trip is a fun and intense two weeks of education and advocacy training in Israel. Students will have the opportunity to travel throughout the Jewish state, including Jerusalem, Judea & Samaria, and many strategic border regions (Western Negev, Galilee, Jordan Valley, and Golan Heights).  Students will also meet with Knesset Members, journalists, policy experts, military experts, and much more. This trip is intended for students who are Israel activists on their campuses or are planning to become Israel activists in the near future. The trip will arm you with the facts and unique personal experiences you need to be a strong Zionist activist on campus. Application is open now!

JDC Entwine's Inside Jewish Argentina & Uruguay for Russian-Speaking Jewish College Students

Itinerary Highlights:

  • Experience Buenos Aires’ famous sites – Plaza de Mayo, Recoleta Cemetery – and trendy neighborhoods such as Palermo, La Boca, and San Telmo – and the beachy vibes of Montevideo, a small but vibrant community

  • Learn about JDC’s critical interventions during the 2001 economic crisis in the areas of medical and welfare assistance, jobs training, elder care, and beyond

  • Modern dance & tango with elderly community members at AMIA, the main Jewish communal organization of Argentina

JDC Entwine’s Inside Jewish Ukraine trip for Russian Speaking Jewish Young Professionals

The trip will be visiting Odessa and Kharkov from March 18th-25th, 2018.

Highlights of the trip include:

  • Exploring the revitalization and development of Jewish life in Kharkov and Odessa, cities rich in history, culture, and art.
  • Learning through interactive site visits, discussions, and walking tours about Ukraine, a country that has been a bridge between Eastern and Western Europe for centuries.  
  • Enjoying a cross-cultural Shabbat experience with the local Jewish community.
  • Connecting with Jewish peers in Ukraine.
  • Lending a hand by performing service work in the Ukrainian Jewish community with the elderly, teens, and children.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Genesis Philanthropy Group, the trip is $1,000 including roundtrip airfare from New York to Ukraine.

JNF Alternative Winter Break

Alternative Winter Break Join Jewish young adults ages 18–24 for a week of community service in Southern Israel and connect to the land and people of Israel by giving back. This adventure will give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty, make an impact and meet the people who are changing how we in the diaspora view Southern Israel. Participation in Alternative Break is based on your fundraising efforts, which goes directly to JNF projects in Israel; our generous donors cover your flight and land costs.
