YOFI (Youth Organization For Israel) is Baruch's pro-Israel club. YOFI aims to bring a taste of the State of Israel, including its culture, diversity, and politics to Baruch College through interactive, informative, and challenging programs and events. Not only does YOFI stand for Youth Organization for Israel, but it also means "beauty" in Hebrew.
If you are interested in getting involved with YOFI, contact Regev Gur, Israel Fellow, at email@example.com
20 Minute Mondays
Every Monday, for 20 minutes, students join together in conversations about various topics related to Israel. These topics can range from current events to delicious Israeli cuisine to controversial questions about Israeli history. The program enriches and educates over 150 students each semester. 20 Minute Mondays is led in collaboration of both Hillel staff and students.
Rebecca is currently a sophomore at Baruch college. She is double majoring in political science and corporate communication. Rebecca like most students at Baruch is from New York City. Her family currently lives in Queens but she is living in the East village for the time being as she is continuing her studies. Rebecca has decided to work for Hillel because she loves being involved and helping her community grow. She is most excited to meet all the new students and can't wait to start this year off! If you see her around don't hesitate to go up to her and say hi!
Yaki Weingarten is a junior and computer information systems major here at Baruch. Along with working for the David project, Yaki will be acting at outreach for the YOFI board. He is super excited to be making Hillel a more inclusive environment for everyone.
Ariella is a junior and a psychology major here at Baruch. She comes from the Persian community in Great Neck. This will be her second year as Secretary of YOFI and she can't wait for all the great things they're planning on bringing this year.
